Relaunch? Ceramics in Fine Art Studies, Symposium, Kunstuniversitat Linz, Austria

Dr Andrew Livingstone gave a lecture on ceramics at the University of Sunderland at the symposium, Relaunch? in Linz, Austria 25th and 26th of November. A discussion followed between tutors from universities in Germany, Poland, Austria and the UK, where ceramic arts were examined within an educational context. http://www.ufg.ac.at

With Fire and Flame – Ceramics in Contemporary Art, Villa Rot Museum, Germany.

Dr Andrew Livingstone has been invited to exhibit four artworks as part of the exhibition which runs until February 2012 at Museum Villa Rot, Burgrieden, Germany. Artists in the exhibition include Ai Weiwei, Richard Deacon and Thomas Schutte amongst other leading contemporary artists. http://www.villa-rot.de

Dr Andrew Livingstone is exhibiting an installation work titled ‘Surfeit 621’ which consists of 621 cast ceramic houses, video projection and a set of clay-graphite drawings.
